Transparency comes first. For digital tips to arrive smoothly, compliantly and reliably in your team's bank accounts, real processing costs occur behind the scenes. At the same time, we provide flexible ways to ensure a full 100% of the tip reaches your staff.
Digital transactions run through banks and card networks (such as Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay). They charge processing fees for every payment and payout, which are normally borne by the recipient.
Because TipFlow offers businesses a plan with no monthly base fee (Starter), a small platform fee ensures the TipFlow platform can be operated sustainably and continuously developed as the best and safest solution for digital tipping.
Guests and customers understandably want 100% of their tip to reach the person who delivered great service without deductions. TipFlow offers two simple solutions for this:
When tipping, guests and customers can optionally choose to cover the transaction fee themselves with a single tap. Usually they pay just a few cents more, ensuring 100% of the intended tip reaches the recipient.
Businesses can choose a TipFlow plan where fees are waived: on the Professional plan, all payout fees are dropped (0%), and on the Enterprise plan, the business can also cover transaction fees completely.
The TipFlow Starter plan is completely free of charge for businesses. Those who need more features can upgrade to the paid Professional plan. Further details are available on the pricing page.
Professional includes fees for payouts. Optionally also fees for receiving tips. The business covers the costs incurred by TipFlow through the monthly base fee.
Before payment, you can see clearly whether you want to cover the platform fee or pay only the tip amount. Customers and guests choose directly during checkout.
